Thomas Chan, CPA, CA
Thomas Chan has been a Chartered Accountant since 1986 and has practised exclusively in Victoria from the start of his career in 1981. Thomas began working with the international firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, moving on to establish a partnership Chan & Wong in 1991, to his present firm, Chan & Associates, Chartered Professional Accountants, in 2008. Thomas brings extensive knowledge in all facets of accounting and tax for profit-oriented business, as well as, audits of not-for-profit organizations and specializes in immigration and foreign tax issues.
Thomas has been serving the Victoria community for over 32 years. He is currently President of Dart Coon Club of Canada and member of B.C. Premier’s Chinese-Canadian Community Advisory Committee. He was previously on the Board of Directors of the Saanich Police Board, Camosun College Foundation, Victoria Dragon Boat Festival Society, Victoria Chinese Commerce Association, and Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association.
Jeety Bhalla, CPA, CA
Jeety Bhalla has been a member of Chan &Associates since 2005. Jeety received his Chartered Accountant designation after completing his articling with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in 1985. Jeety provides professional services for all assurance clients, specializes in US/Canadian personal income tax returns, appeal matters and corporate year-ends.
Bob Davis, CPA, CA
Bob Davis has been a member of Chan & Associates since 2013. Bob received his Chartered Accountant designation after completing his articling with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Vancouver in 1973. His varied technical background includes years of practical business experience in the areas of wholesale distribution, retail, and manufacturing. His public practice experience comes from working with an international accounting firm and many years in a small firm environment. Bob specializes in owner-managed businesses, as well as, personal and corporate tax matters.
Alyssa Chan, CPA, CGA
Alyssa Chan has been a member of Chan & Associates since 2009. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting Major degree from Camosun College in 2008 and completed her CPA, CGA designation in 2013.
Alyssa provides accounting services such as bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, personal and corporate tax, and assists in assurance engagements.
Ida Chong, FCPA, FCGA
Ida Chong received her Certified General Accountant designation in 1981, and her Fellow in 2006. She joined Chan & Associates as an associate in 2018 offering assistance in all areas of accounting, personal and corporate tax, business consulting, estates and trusts, and specific government related issues.
She has practical accounting experience in the retail and manufacturing sector, while her public practice experience began in 1978 where she articled for a local medium-sized accounting firm. She established her own partnership (Kesteloo and Chong, CGAs) in 1985 and became senior partner until 1996 when she left active practice to begin her career path in elected public office (BC Government).
Mack Peng, BBA
Mack has been a member of Chan & Associates since 2009. He has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting Major degree from Camosun College.
Mack provides our clients with a variety of accounting services which include financial statement preparation (audit, reviews and compilation engagements), personal and corporate tax, and new business start-ups.
Mabel Au, BBA
Mabel has been a member of Chan & Associates since 2018. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting Major degree from Camosun College.
Mabel provides accounting services such as bookkeeping, as well as, personal and corporate tax returns.
